New Walk Museum & Art Gallery, Leicester’s original museum has wide ranging collections and displays spanning the natural and cultural world. Located on the historic New Walk, the first floor galleries include permanent displays of Picasso Ceramics: The Attenborough Collection and German Expressionist Art, the collection acclaimed as the finest of its kind in the UK.
The temporary exhibitions feature works from collections, touring exhibitions from National Museums and a programme of contemporary art and craft exhibitions.
The museums offers a range of events from curator’s talks to lunchtime concerts.
The museum also offers a Gift Shop and Costa Coffee shop with free Wi-Fi available.
We were involved in all structural design aspects, including initial structural survey, the new entrance re-modeling and structural glass internal walls.
